REFIND is a curated resale platform specializing in only fine jewelry, built and dedicated for the community of fine jewelry lovers. As a peer-to-peer marketplace, we connect buyers and sellers, and provide the expert jewelry authentication service in between the transaction.

How did you get started?

‍

I’ve always been a fan of the circular economy, where I’ve bought and sold high-end items, such as handbags, shoes and clothes. I enjoyed finding deals and loved being able to sell items I no longer needed, I also liked the sustainability aspect of this experience. 

‍

But when it came to fine jewelry, I felt there weren’t any resale options that offered a great experience. The jewelry category in these secondhand luxury platforms felt cluttered, hard to navigate, and the inventory was not curated. It seemed like jewelry was an afterthought, since these platforms prioritized other categories.

‍

I felt the fine jewelry category needed to be unbundled from the rest of the noise, and this was my ah ha moment. I wanted to build a specialized resale platform, specifically tailored for the fine jewelry space, creating a dedicated outlet to sell and a destination to buy preloved jewelry at a fraction of retail.

What makes your site unique?

When it comes to fine jewelry, where the price points are higher, I wanted to ensure we had a boutique jewelry store experience. REFIND is unique because we give high-touch customer service for both the buyer and the seller. 

‍

We want our shoppers to buy with confidence, so we have jewelry experts and GIA gemologists physically authenticate and inspect each item before delivery. In addition, we provide customer support via chat, email and virtual appointments to help make a more pleasant shopping and selling experience.

We also wanted to take the hassle and stress off the seller, so we offer full-service listing assistance, where our jewelry experts create the listings for the seller – making the selling process as easy as possible. 

‍

In addition, we’re developing a “relist” function, so buyers can easily reactivate the items they’ve previously purchased to recirculate and sell them without the hurdle of recreating the listing images and details, but still have the ability to edit the listing if the item has any changes or more wear, etc.

Our carefully curated inventory is also unique, because we want to maintain high standards on all our jewelry offerings. We believe in quality versus quantity, we’re not interested in being the big-box resale platforms with everything for everyone, we take pride in being a dedicated fine jewelry marketplace.

Since our beta-launch this past June, we’ve proven that there is a need for a fine jewelry specific resale platform, and are excited to continue building a high-touch, boutique marketplace experience for the fine jewelry community.

What is your site best for?

Buyers can access secondhand pieces from contemporary designers like Anita Ko, Irene Neuwirth, Marlo Laz,  Jacquie Aiche, and Walters Faith, to luxury heritage brands like Chanel, Dior, Van Cleef and Tiffany’s. We have fashion, beauty and lifestyle influencers  like Rocky Barnes, Camilla Marcus and Brooke DeVard selling their preloved gems on REFIND for 40-50% off retail. Plus, the buyers can negotiate with the sellers, and potentially get another 15-25% discount on top.
